[ This man is never going to check his goddamn inbox. But feel free to use this post for threading, messaging him, bothering Dimitri some other way, etc. ]
[Luckily Hunter doesn't actually like using his communicator when he can help it. And for inmates, he definitely prefers in-person.
However, knowing it was the man who only saw him as a people-pleasing baby with minimal actual skills makes him cringe. So when he does set out to find Dimitri, he's wearing a slightly-too-formal vest and gold shirt, with his white cape around his shoulders. On one of which sits Flapjack, who in Hunter's opinion only adds to the image.
And he makes sure to stand tall and proper when he does find Dimitri, taking a bracing breath before he approaches.]
Dimitri. I'm Hunter - I'll be your warden this month.
[ Surprise, someone died at the end of the breach! And is experiencing death toll for the first time!
Hunter can find Dimitri in the gym, leaning against the wall, looking very much like he's about to throw up. Who has two thumbs and tried to power through the death toll with water, crackers, and working out? This guy.
He looks at Hunter, slightly sickened and tired expression on his face, before Dimitri bluntly responds with, ]
[He returns the sickly look with a flat one of his own, but it's edged with concern.]
...if you died on the breach that means you're feeling the death toll now. [He moves closer, fearless.] As one of the Infirmary wardens, I should strongly advice you to rest until the worst of the symptoms wear off. It'll take a few days.
[ Dimitri turns to look at Hunter, still very much looking like he wants to vomit. This person is different from the man he knew in the breach...but honestly, Dimitri himself was also different. He doesn't want to think about that too much.
Instead, he asks, ] And what exactly is the death toll?
[He's not surprised, but he's not impressed. And Flapjack gives him a one-eyed squint.]
When you die on the Barge - even during a breach or port, [Hunter's tone is even, patient in a way he himself is trying (mostly successfully) to present as.] you get brought back to life. However, as compensation for the fact, you'll be tired, nauseous, and sore for the next week or so. Normally you'll also have aches relating to the way you died, or the injuries you had immediately beforehand.
[And good to his word, Eiffel is in fact knocking on Dimitri's door within half an hour of their brief network chat, rapping a brief drumroll on the kid's door.]
Open up, kid! You're about to get some premium wardening in your system!
[ There is the world's loudest, longest, most irritated groan from inside the room. But Dimitri does open up the door, looking at Eiffel with a frown as irritated as his groan was.
The room is small and looks like a dorm room. There's a bed, storage, a desk, and a book or two but not much else. Everything is very pre-industrial: all the lighting is natural, though there are a few candles scatted about. And Dimitri just looks so done. ]
I doubt I will be able to convince you to leave me alone.
It was my dormitory back at Garreg Mach, [ he says, with a little shrug, letting Eiffel enter before closing the door behind them. ] I suppose the Admiral chose it as my room as it was the last thing actually close to a bedroom I've had.
Uhh...Dining room management, which is just custodial with food involved. Lounge, so you'd be around beer. Taking care of the pool. Communal wardrobe needs a person. The chapel that I..burned down might want you. On-call at the infirmary, under Shaw. Medical inventory doesn't have anyone.
[ Majima has a way of showing up. He actually does his custodial work, but there's no way that keeps him busy for the entire day. And when there's nothing to do he'll start pacing and thinking. He thinks way too much about the blind girl he needs to rescue, his best friend in jail and his missing sister, about the torture pit, and on and on and on.
[ Dimitri doesn't do his custodial work. What he does is fuck off, spend time training, spend time eating, and spend time brooding on the deck. It's after he finishes that last one when he runs into Majima in the hallways of the Barge. ]
Majima, [ he nods. ] I can only assume you're as bored of this place as I am.
The people, [ grumps the introvert ] They say the same things over and over again, pointing out the same problems, having the same issues, whining the same annoying, trite complaints. If I could leave everyone here behind, I would.
[At some point Trixie seeks out Dimitri. Clearly the Powers That Be want them to interact in some way, considering it’s been two breaches now that they’ve been close.]
[ What a surprise, Dimitri is in the gym (said no one ever). He's lifting weights, breathing in and out, keeping his form practically perfect. That being said, when he spots Trixie, he instantly stops what he's doing and walks over towards her. ]
Trixie, [ he says, with a small nod. There's a moment's pause before, ] You know, that other you was right about not going on that damned excursion.
Like, immediately after pairings go up

You've got nice digs, at least. Real rustic.

I'm taking you off custodial duty, it's a shit job and you're not doing it anyway.
What do you want to do instead?

[ says the man who spends all his free time in the gym anyway. ]
What other options are there that don't involve cooking?
no subject
Any of those?

Out of those, the pool seems like it would be the best choice.
